How do you like it? Does it work well? Is it worth $500?
ALSO, any idea if it is dealer or port installed? If port installed, can it be added even though it's not on the Vehicle Inquiry Report of a car that's incoming?
AND, those who have same, can you please post a picture of the key fob?

I'm not talking "Push Start" "Comfort Access", I'm talking when it's either really hot or cold out and you want to start your car from your home from your key fob to either cool it down or warm it up...
It is 500 for the part + 500 for the install and it is installed at the dealer by a third party. So you are looking at 1,100-1,200 with tax. If you go this route you can order the part for 200 less from Sewell w/ your club lexus username. Then take the part in and have the dealer install it or go to a local stereo installer and they can install it for half the price. Although b/c it uses the factory key fob the dealer might have to program it.
The key fob is the factory key fob. You just hit the unlock button 3 times and it will start.
My dealer was running a deal with viper smart starts. It was only 200$ more than the factory brand starter you are talking about. With the Viper Smart Start I can start, unlock, lock etc. my car with my iPhone anywhere. I choose to do this mainly b/c I have the Lexus Credit Card key and don't carry the car keys with me ever.

Wow; what a great post; this forum is too good!!!
2014 IS' come with three keys, right? Two key fobs and one card key?

No! Just two key fobs. I ordered the CC key from Sewell and had my dealer program it when I took delivery. Some dealers might charge you a small fee to do so mine did not
Negotiated the remote start when I initially bought my car and found out after they tried to install it that its not compatible if you have navigation.

Correct!
***Remote Start is NOT COMPATIBLE with Navigation equipped models!**
Hey, it's lexus. According to them we dont' need any of those extra options. A lot of research and forum trolling by high level managements has collected enough data that shows American don't like extra goodies.

I know you're being sarcastic, but it just doesn't make sense. If anyone would want remote start ($500 part + $500 labor), it'd be the person who has a fully equipped NAV car (which should be standard on a Lexus by now), not the person who wants a stripped model...
