However, when you are running your DRLs and you flip you high beams on, my low beam HIDs do come and a point really high so its like I do have high beams still. I tested it today.

And when you are running your low beams and you put the high beams on, the DRLs come on, and my lows point higher....

So I don't really think its that big of a sacrafice if you are have factory HIDs with AFS.

Yeah, it's a VERY snug fit, especially for those with AFS like others have said. I actually emailed a V-LED tech asking if they could shrink the module down some, but it won't happen (at least anytime soon) since it's a universal module.

^ Yup, for those with OEM bi-xenon HIDs, when you hit your high beams a shield moves that allows your low beams to shoot up higher. Your LED DRL's also turn on whenever your high beams would, they just don't project any usable light on the road.

I notice VLED sells the LED 9005 bulbs with a DRL module. What is the DRL module for? Can you just get the 9005 LED bulb and plug it into the stock 9005 socket? The ones on ebay don't include the DRL module, just the 9005 LED bulbs.

The module is to prevent the flicker that would occur if you just used the bulb itself.

I thought it would be a good idea to post a DIY on this because it took me a while to figure out how to make everything fit in the moisture cap , so I'm going to try to post some pics to help some people out

I bought the DRL kit without the parking light, because I wanted a better one than the one that came with the kit. So i got the one at the link below:

http://www.v-leds.com/Vehicle-Specif...71398-1-3.html

Steps;

1) Remove the engine covers
2) Unscrew the washer fluid hose to make room to get to the light
4) Remove the moisture cap, and disconnect the old bulb, then remove it
5) Connect the module to the new LED DRL, and then to the wire for the light
THIS IS THE HARD PART:
6) Before you install the new bulb into the housing unit, push the module and the connector into the opening underneath where you insert the bulb. You may have to use a little force to get it to go down into the crack (see pics below). Make sure to also push or tuck in as much of the wires as possible
7) Put the moisture cap back into place, and lock it in with the metal bar

That's it!!! You are now ready to enjoy your new LED DRLs!!!!
I tought this may help a bit , so here it is I used the plastidip (not the one on spray) but the one you can actually dip stuf on it and it worked really good for me,1st you open the module and take the board out of it , its hold in place with some tape kinda like 3m so be careful not to break the board then once is out just follow the directions on the plastidip can, is really easy allow enough time to dry i left it overnight after 2 coats . Once is dry, I was able to put a little piece of 3m tape on the back and stick it right on the side of the bulb on that chrome area. Have fun!

Looks good. How does the color of 6K compare to the factory HID's? I'm thinking about doing it to my whip too
