I had to use a little dental scraper, it was a huge pain!

This was my set up for spraying the grille * towels etc were used to prevent overspray. Ultimately, I felt it look classier with the original chrome bezel, so I peeled away. I just love the sound of peeling plastidip... Cheers!

Both front and back emblem are relatively the same in terms of how easy it is. As easy as 1,2,3.
1. Mask
2. Spray (3-4 coats) allow minimum 15 minutes between coats
3. Use a toothpick to pierce and peel excess plastic surrounding emblem (wait 1hr before peeling)

I've seen a few guys are asking about some tips on masking wheels. so here's some pics on how I did mine.

1. Swap your tires. Tire machines will win against dip.
2. You can't really see it, but mask the inside of the rim.
3. Tape the tires
4. Valve stem should be covered too,
5. Two solid coats should be enough for complete coverage, wait to dry, remove tape

Looks good!^

I would recommend more than 2 coats though. Put at least 3. I put 4 on my winter wheels (which I will be posting up soon.)

As for masking the tire itself......I didn't do it. Waste of time. lol That's just me. Oh, make sure you clean the wheels thoroughly before applying the dip.

thanks for the tips man!

what do you mean tire machines will win against dip?
you mean if we dip first THEN put tires on the rim, the machine will ruin the dip?

i have a set of winter tires and rims and summer tire and rims
i'm planning to dip my summer set when my winter set is on my car
will putting the summer set back on in the summer ruin the dip after going through balancing and all those things?
