^^ Yeah, I have heard it is across the entire Lexus line for the US. No more Lexus badge on the trunk lids. Hmm...

I think it looks better with the badge.

I think it looks better with the Lexus badge too, balances out the model ID on the right.

I'll have to admit I'm really at odds on some of these changes. The F Sport package is indeed very nice, and something that I wish I had as an option for '07 [interior/mechanical changes anyhow], but other changes seem like they are coming form a different design team than who originally was responsible for the 1st iteration. It also seems to be a general perception of things getting "cheapened up" as well, and a general loss of coherence in the new changes, and I'm not sure when it's beneficial to extend the front overhang on any vehicle - but that's just my observation.

Still one one of the best cars out there, but again seems to be too much tinkering.

That's just optical illusion. Both 2010 and 2011 IS V6 sedans share the same identical 180.3" overall length.

In my opinion virtually every visual change they've made after the 2008 models has uglied the car up

The "L" should be enough at this point...

Also look on the 2012 Lexus LFA - "HALO"

This is precisely the risk Lexus took when they let the model linger and instead gave it a second facelift. You can only tweak a look for so long before you start running into cohesiveness problems. Or, you can only decorate an aging body for so long before the boobjobs start showing. It was time for a new IS.

So the headlight housing is indeed blacked out, yes?

^ It certainly appears to be. Lexus probably blacked it out so the LED DRL's would show up better.

I never noticed the headlights were blacked out until now. Nice.
