hey i am about to get a dyno done today.. i remember a thread that listed about 5 things to make sure of, but i cant find it.. need a lil bit of help peeps
You definitely need to use snow mode with the tranny in manual mode and traction control disabled. The tester needs to put it in 4th gear, and floor it at 3100 RPM. If he floors it below 3K RPMs, the tranny will downshift to 3rd gear.
The only thing way that the ECT modes effect power output is by altering the responsiveness of the throttle. It does NOT reduce power at WOT. Therefore, ECT Snow / Power has no impace on the power that it puts down on the dyno. However, ECT Snow does allow the dyno test to be started at much lower RPMs without downshifting. In ECT Snow, you can go full throttle at 3K RPMs in 4th gear. In ECT PWR, you can't go full throttle until MUCH higher in the RPM range.
