how about the sheer number of rattling problems in the IS???????

I don't own an G35, but I am 100% frustrated with the rattles in my 2007 IS350. Already brought it back to the dealer once, and all the rattles came back.

Then I hang out with my brother and drive his 2000 Toyota 4 runner with 147,000 miles and there is not one audible squeak, creak, or rattle. Its extremely frustrating. i expect more from a car worth 3 times as much.

The IS' rattling problems are NOTHING compared to what Nissan/Infiniti cars suffer.

However, the funny thing is, I bought my IS over the G35 or any other competing cars with confidence and hope that Lexus cars wouldn't have menial but frustrating problems like this.

But with the stupid creaking in my car, my desire to trade in my car grows day by day ...

Hopefully a dealership will be able to fix it when I take the car in for the 5,000 mile service .

I had a 2000 Maxima that had ZERO rattles. You're dreaming if you think Infinitis rattle any more than our cars...my IS has more rattles than any car I've had, other than a 91 Saturn. At least Infiniti is addressing the rattles...Lexus is just sort of winging it with most of these issues. I have rattles/creaks/squeaks from my center vents, driver's vent, driver's B pillar, and several other locations. Absolutely unacceptable for a Lexus. Ridiculous.

I must be lucky 11,000 miles and it is as rattle free as the day I bought it. It's funny but on at least 75% of the cars that come into the shop for rattles the problem ends up being something that the customer has left in the car.

I just got my 250 back from the dealer. I had "the rattle" that was coming from the center speaker/windshield and a rattle coming from the passenger side air vent. My tech guy told me that pretty much all newer Lexi in the Northeast are experiencing this because the type of insulation used at the factory contracts too much when it's cold and doesn't expand. They had to take my entire dash out and replace all of the insulation. I almost ***** my pants we he told me that. So far my baby's quiet as a mouse. You can try stuffing some foam between the ducts once you take the vents out, but I would let the dealer take care of it.

i'll give them one more shot at my 5k service coming up in a few weeks, but after that, i'm doing home remedies

Try that Maxima down here. I had a 2001 Maxima as a company car a few years ago while my uncle was painting my RX and that had more suspension issues than I could count. So I went to try out a newer one at the dealer and same issue. I frequently have friends complain about the Nissans and poor suspension, creaks and rattles. This also goes for Honda, but I rarely hear people complain about the Toyota products, which is a great thing considering I live in Mexico City.
