Default ANy suggestion on getting a new battery

Hi,
It is time for me to replace my battery, anyone have any suggestions or experience, or just getting one from Lexus dealer is the best alternative.

Are you just looking to restore stock performance, or find something light, or reliable, or cheap, or???

There are a ton of options depending on what you want to achieve.

Getting one from the dealer is probably the most expensive option short of a Braille unit.

I have one in my Supra. They're good, but there are lots of AGM batteries now, and they're all pretty solid, and some are quite a bit cheaper than Optima.

I would ideally like something lighter, but what is the state of the art in batteries? I mean what if anything one should be looking for?

The Braille I linked to are pretty much the top dogs for lightweight, reliable, and premium cost batteries these days. They've become practically standard issue for F1, ALMS, IRL, even NASCAR.

How much do you want to spend? The other thing you could do is PM Toothdoc. He might have some really good suggestions at more affordable prices.

The Braille link has multiple weight batteries what weight do I need? I just need regular start/stop and play audio with some base.
Thanks for the advice, I will PM Toothdoc to see what suggestions he has.

Uh...and what's your reasoning behind this?

FWIW, I have an Optima Yellow Top...I've had one in every single car I've owned (4 cars...i know, it's not a whole lot) and I like them a lot.

Why Lexus chose batteries for the ES and the IS that are exactly the same size and capacity but have different polarity is beyond me

I just switched out OEM for an Optima Red Top, installation was a breeze and saved myself 10lbs or so!

Have run the red tops for all my vehicles, not a single hitch.
