Default Supra Swap help - 2ur-gse sfi system documentation

Hi all,

As you can see We are doing a 2URGSE swap into a toyota supra. Im trying to track down as much Technical Documentation as possible for research i.e. Wiring and system schematics in Particular the Direct injection system, EDU's etc etc and the VVTIE Controllers and EDU in order for us to get a better undestanding on the control techniques we will need to apply via standalone.

We know this engine has been run using standalone (m800) though it was only port injection and no VVTIE control from what we know. We would like to run DI and Control VVTIE by interfacing stock EDU's via Standalone. After all, no point in going back to the dark ages with this engine

We will be running a manual gearbox either R154 or V160/161

any help appreciated

Marty

Ps feel free to pop over and share any thing you have

I have 4 volumes of IS F service repair manuals in PDF that documents pretty much everything. 4 Volumes...about 1700 pages each. As far as I know, its the same exact book that Lexus Technicians use...question is...what's in it for me?

BTW...this is the kind of info that's in it. I randomly chose these pages...

why the hell would someone buy an isf engine and put it in a supra? The isf engine is 22k and there are so many better engines for the cash that are so much easier to set up. The F's engine electronics are so damn complicated. I don't get the point of this.

There is already an FRS with an ISF engine, so why not do it to a Supra?

Very cool build and you are correct this is not a typical swap for a Supra and it's the first I have heard and read.

Not very many Supra owners would probably agree with the choice of engine based on cost alone, difficulty, and the HP gains from it. The amount of money spent you can have a bad *** built 2jz for half the cost .. even BPU /stock 2jz motors Supra have more hp potential than what you would get out of a 2UR-GSE...

I can't offer much help but I look forward to seeing this build complete. Good luck!

Thanks

Power wasnt the goal with this swap, new technology was. I already own a mkiii 2jzgte single turbo, and a mkiv 2jzgte single Turbo.
we have put 1uz and 1/2jz's into lots of cars from bmws to nissans. LSx swaps were not interesting or challenging enough fo us, and when you live in Ireland, the chance of a 2UR coming up fo sale is quite a rare thing.
I will be selling the Transmission and rear end though as of no use in this swap.
Hopefully the project will unearth some data and information that may be of value in the IS-F tuning world.

I love the idea of unearthing information for the community, sadly there isnt much available now and you will truly be the pioneer here. The best you can hope for here will be more support than direction.

I will be watching for updates!
