Hey all,

Years and years ago the previous owner put some fake carbon fiber vinyl stickers on the door pillars, which looked ok. Now they're discolored and bubbly and look beyond horrible.

Should I ask the dealer or a tint shop or something to remove them?

Do it myself?

+1. Or a proper heat gun and some judicious movement to prevent paint from bubbling.

 

I hope it wasn't to cover up damage or whatever...

 

Will just a hair dryer, goo gone and a putty knife be enough?

 

I wouldn't use any type of metallic blade. Maybe a plastic scraper if necessary. A hair dryer should do fine.
