These cars are rare, and they are valuable. I say this so that your expectations are where they should be. I have heard of maybe two “good” deals in 2.5 years. They were flukes where someone sold their car way to cheap. Everyone else who owns an isf knows it’s valuable, and knows it will sell for book value or higher.

I told those five guys all the same thing... They can’t afford the car they want.

Im not saying that’s the situation here, but adjusting your thinking on what a “good” deal is should be a priority when shopping for a clean ISF. You can have a cheap and rough ISF, or a clean ISF. An exception may be a rebuilt ISF, but those should be in the teens for good reason, they were destroyed.
I'm a little more blunt. "You're not willing to pay enough to make me say sold. Come back when you're serious about buying." You have no idea how many times I have said this to people who think they want to buy my Supra.

There has been some weird mentality change to were most people have to find a “deal.” People ignore value but will buy something they don’t even want that much If it’s a “deal.” I know a bunch of people with houses and garages full of “deals” they don’t use.

I hope someday our society goes back to value based purchasing instead of trophy hunting in the form of “deals.” People mad that they can’t find a clean 6-12 year old car for cheap are simply looking for the wrong 6-12 year old car (not saying the OP is, just ranting a bit). This is even more so with your Supra.

Throwing my name in there as well. I'm considering the purchase of a 2014 Lexus IS-F (USB, dark grey, silver), low miles (preferably below 40k). I know what they're worth and willing to pay low to mid 40s. DM me directly. I'm located in SoCal and open to travel.

There is a nice 2011 with 71K for 25K on autotrader, located in Austin Texas. I have Had a 2010 ISF For 4 years now and really can’t think of another car I would want (that I can afford). Great balance of reliability, speed, sound, and looks. You won’t regret it if you get one, assuming it has been taken care of.

A 2014 IS-F just popped up with 16,850 ODO on Autotrader. Lexus of Seattle. Asking price $62999. I'd be willing to pay 50k for this, but $63k is downright insane! Thoughts?

2 years from now you will wish you bought it. These cars are special and when v8’s are no longer produced this will be one many wish they had.

I’m not sure that’s rare enough to demand into the 60s. It is not that valuable to me, but maybe to the right person it is.

What would you guys pay for a 11 SGM with roughly 49k on the clock? I’m looking at one now but I think their asking price (39k) is a bit steep. Any opinions?

If you want it, make your best deal and buy it. Some of us didn't consider any of this silliness about "getting a good deal" and bought the car because we wanted it. If you want the car, just buy it. Quit asking the owners if it's a good deal because we already made a good deal and we've enjoyed our decision for years.

I’m shopping for a house right now. My realtor told me something I had never thought about. He said some houses aren’t good deals, but if it’s the house you truly want and will be happy in for your life, market evaluations aren’t as important as it’s VALUE TO YOU.

That needs to be considered within reason, but really if you love a car and don’t plan to flip it, a few grand is nothing to stress over in my opinion.

Excellent description. If the plan is to own it "forever", the "extra" purchase price is irrelevant, you'll get the value back in longevity, not even considering happiness factor.

For happiness factor, you're likely to forget about any "extra cost" real quick, the total package of what you're getting is unparalleled at the price point.
