Default SRS, question.. does anyone know

Im building a track car. This means roll cage, 6pt harnesses, bucket seats, not driven on the road.

Currently planning to remove the SRS brain and all airbags (i do this in all my track cars after seeing more than a few faulty deployments from jumping curbs)

The Question; Will only the airbag light in the lower corner of the cluster illuminate or is it the entire center display similar to when there is a low tire fault.

Anyone know?

Lexus documentation shows only the SRS failure light illuminating when there is an issue with the airbags. It does not even show the MIL illuminating, which seems odd. The enumerate all the screens for the multifunction display in the owner's manual, and there is nothing in the factory service manual showing anything more than the SRS light illuminating when there is a fault in the system. I'd unplug my SRS ECU and validate this, but sometimes this creates permanent events in the system I would prefer are not there.

The failure event log was really the only thing stopping me from trying seat of the pants style. But from the info your providing i feel reasonably safe to give it a whirl, especially if its all gunna come out anyways. Thanks Lobux!
