Default Elvins steering wheel

Just got my Elvin's carbon steering wheel is there anything to watch out for when changing it over " had a look at a good vid on utube" but this doesn't show the airbag connectors and the small carbon switch cover change over, cheers in advance.

@danwlee had issues with the clock spring on his GSF. Cost him a pretty penny.

Yup.

The posted guides are straightforward, but I would just advise you use a steering wheel remover versus trying to "wiggle" off the steering wheel. The clock spring/spiral assembly broke on me when I pulled the steering wheel off because I pulled a little harder after the wiggling didnt work. I've since found out many people actually did the same thing when they took their steering wheel off. The assembly is not cheap, even for used or discounted OEM ones... At least on my GSF. Good luck.

Thanks Danwlee the funny thing is I'm 59yrs young mechanic and I have NEVER had to pull a airbag steering wheel, probably because I'm semi retired. I find it funny talking to young mechanics and say "have you checked the points or condenser or maybe the choke is stuck on" and most don't know what your talking about, thanks again. PS Lou 36c today in the shade and I live on the cool southeast coast, yep its hot
