Default Small rev after killing ignition. This just started tonight....thoughts?

Taking it in tomorrow, because this has never happened before. About to hit 90k and had it in for a scheduled oil change this past Friday (everything checked out), and just noticed this weird phenomenon this afternoon... when killing the ignition, it’s like there’s one more rev before the engine stops. No throttle is being applied at the time either. I also just gassed up yesterday.....so I’m curious on many things....as I notice a little rougher than normal idle.

Anyone experience similar issues?

Other than those symptoms, everything’s good. I’ll reach out to my SA tomorrow morning and hopefully the F will return to normalcy soon..

UPDATE from 4 tanks of gas later.....thought I would post here that this ended up being a case of bad gas. The car is back to normal now and runs like a dream (knocking on wood!).....as the symptoms progressively improved with each fill-up.

I'm still a relatively new ISF owner, so can't offer any suggestions. You might get more responses if you post a video. Good luck!

This could be a case of bad gas. Stay tuned and insert jokes here....

Are you saying it revs up or continues to run on like its dieseling? No CEL?
You might plug in a diagnostic tool and look at TB positions, rpm and ignition advance. That said once the ignition is killed, your data stream stops too.

No CEL, and it's a very subtle rev that I felt.....and initially thought I imagined it.

That being said, it doesn't happen all of the time and I have just about cycled through the tank of gas and will update once I have several "cleaner" runs under my belt.

When was the last time you cleaned the throttle body plate?

I've never cleaned mine and I have 160+k miles. Definitely don't have engine after run, never have. Check to be sure your oil fill cap is present and tight...

I have never cleaned my throttle body plate. I'll pop the hood in a bit to check the oil filler cap, as I am at the office......but just had Lexus perform an oil change less than a week ago.
