personally my opinion is that Lexus been established way longer and their design team was studying style, and our cars are so much better refined than "minimalist Tesla" I don't think I know anyone who respects the car and design going to put that in the car.... esp when we don't really have a need for it. I underhand tesla has lots of settings to oversee.... our cars don't really have it. So not answering for everyone but I'm sure majority will pass on that. Tell me why u personally like it though?

Personally, I like the idea of having a higher quality touch screen in the car. Especially, since the touchscreen that we have is known to fail fairly regularly. If the screen quality is anything like an iPad, I would be interested.

To me though, I think a smaller screen that is closer to the OEM size would be better. That one is a little large.

The demo above looks pretty promising, but I'd be leery based on another Android based product being sold for our cars right now.

I don't really like losing the hard buttons for climate control and the **** for volume either.

Still, I'll be following this thread to see how it works out.

There has been quite a few threads on this already. These units come with problems, check this thread

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...xus-is-12.html

1. Airbag light will continue to flash. There has been a fix, which includes adding a resistor to the unit in order to make it work properly
2. AC controls only does "LO" & "HI" and doesn't show temp
3. Radio frequencies are off. What would normally be 96.1 might be 99.7
4. Some people are having difficulties connecting the unit all together based on weather your car came from the factory with or without nav or if you have the factory amp.

You can buy from
eBay
Alliexpress https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Kran...846195546.html
Phoenix android https://phoenixandroidradios.com/pro...-350-2005-2012
Smarty trend http://smarty-trend.com/lexus-is/106...head-unit.html

You can buy from 2 different units with the more expensive one being the better of the two.

I've wanted one....but until the issues above are sorted out it's a no go for me. And the only real reason I want one is to have updated maps at the touch of a button.

I mean it looks pretty cool, the AC control is what I would be more concerned with. I’d like to see if anyone else has this setup tho.
