Default KCLV , obd fusion, 0-60 oh my

hey guys recently installed the rr racing tune along with their tuned intake.
Since then I’ve been reading up on knock valves. With that being said I’ve been making 4th gear pulls, ran some royal purple injector cleaner , fresh set of colder NGK plugs and always use top grade gas.
After about 7-8 pulls I’m up to 20.5. My question is doesn’t it make a noticeable difference getting up to say 22 or 23? Or is the level I’m at acceptable?
Secondly does anyone have any faith in the 0-60 tracking that the obd fusion device tracks? Curious to what others are putting up.
08 73k , PPE headers, Joe Z exhaust, RR intake/tune, 285/30/20 Toyo R888R’s.

Anything over 20 is good and yes you can feel a difference if your KCLV are let's say 24 OR 25. You should being doing pulls in 8th gear low speed pulls up to 3k to 4k rpm then higher speed pulls 8th gear over 4k you should see your numbers climb. Since you're using the fusion OBD are you using Toyota Lexus PIDS, for that app? Also why are you using plugs thst are colder unless using nitrous oxide or tracking the gravely. I'm I reading this right 7 to 8 sets of plugs why so many plugs. i prefer oem plugs Denso : FK20HBR11. was FBO for 5yr change the plugs at 65,000 miles and they look great. Me FBO, RRRacing Tune and Tuned intake.

How do you get the electronic gauge reading KCLV? I see the reading in diagnostics>PIDs but can’t figure out how to get that number to the dashboard.

Sorry typo meant pulls. When I ordered the tune I asked RR what plugs to run and they suggested these.

Thanks for the advice on the low rpm 8th gear pulls.... I see how it does tonight.

And yes I purchased the additional PIDS thru the app

First, you have to go to settings and then purchase the Toyota/Lexus/Scion PID for your MY IS-F. Afterward, when you go to dashboard, click on the three dotted line icon on the bottom corner, add display, and on the search bar for PIDs, type in "knock". You'll find both the Knock Correction Learn Value (KCLV) and the Knock Feedback Value (KFV). You'll need both to determine if your engine is running optimally.

If the KCLV and KFV still don't show on your PID list, you may have to go back to your vehicle editor to reinput your vehicle data so the app will know which PIDs are applicable.

Interesting, didn't know this OBD unit existed.

So which OBD did you use or recommend:

OBDLink LX - OBDLink MX - OBDLink MX WiFi?

I bought the Tonwon Pro Bluetooth LE 4.0 on Amazon and downloaded the app and PIDs. It connects without having to do anything in your phone’s settings. Once you open the app it ask to connect and viola.

Thanks for the update Bigjon, but why did you buy the Tonwon instead of the one's mentioned in the apps website?

Is it pretty much the same thing but cheaper?

Is there an easy way to pull KCLV if I'd already bought the OBDLink MX WiFi for track use (Harry's Lap Timer plug-in)?

Thanks!

I would say, buy this app, buy the PIDS, and hook it up and see.

Yes. I have the same setup as you and bought the PIDs for $10. No need to buy the app since it came with the OBDLink device. Works just fine.

Jeebus, I just noticed you're rollin' on 20's, 0-60 OH-MY indeed!!... What wheels are you on? That tire alone is 31lbs (!!!!!!) vs. 22lbs for the R7's I use for track duty, and its MOI has to be CRAZY higher given the added radius... difference in wheel MOI alone is something like 40% vs. 18's assuming similar weights (source: http://www.pro-touring.com/threads/1...mpetition-use?)... If you're not on a light wheel to begin with, you could be talking 60-70% reduction in MOI. If you went to a smaller/lighter setup, say RPF-1's w/R7's or Pirelli slicks, your 0-60 would almost certainly drop to under 4 seconds, given the trifecta bonus of weight reduction, ROLLING weight reduction (and far more impactful than most since you're on 20's), and added traction. Btw, yes I know my R7's are spec'd substantially more narrow, but the set I have is quite wide vs. spec.

Awesome!!! Thanks! To be clear, am I buying directly thru OBDLink app, and if so, is it simply the "Toyota Enhanced Diagnostics" add-on for $9.99?

Phone GPS isn't accurate enough to give 0 to 60 times. A few weeks ago I bought Dragy which according to reviews and comparisons is as accurate as v box. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find a good spot to test 0 to 60 times around NYC. Whenever I do I'll post my times.
