Default tpms sensor question

i got a new set of sensors with my winter wheels and the light on the dashboard blinks for like 30 seconds and then stays on. i had discount tire programmed to the ecu but didn't seem to work. i also bought myself a tpms programming tool to do it myself but doesn't seem to do it either. i saw a video of this guy programming his with techstream but i need clarification if it is the same process on my 2012 isf. thanks for the help

Should be, plug in techstream, and register the serial numbers, either with MAIN or the 2ndary set of sensors.

In my 08 it doesnt matter. I guess it depends on if there is a standard on to which sensor number should be which tire. As long as you know which tire is what ID you should be fine. In my 08 you can't see which tire is low etc unless you hook up techstream.

Same thing for me, not position specific.

yes i know the car doesn't tell us what tire is low but on techstream it has all 4 sensors and i think they have to be put in on the right one

No they do not. I've done this. Just type in each serial number one at a time. It doesn't care where on the vehicle the sensors are, just that it is getting a signal. Make sure you have the correct serial numbers and the correct setting is chosen on the dash using the switch by your knee.

Is tech stream registering the psi in each tire? Also, make sure you push and hold the initial reset with the switch by your knee.

Fack, so sounds like I’ll need to hit the dealer for my new sensors. We don’t have a Lexus dealer here so perhaps Toyota can do it. I know one of the techs I’d just need to hunt down his number.
