Default Odd issue with 2008 ISF

I went out to my car today to go out for a drive and quickly realized neither one of my fobs works, which struck me as odd. Oh well, I will change the batteries in both just to make sure, still nothing. As I pop off the door key cover, I notice my nav screen is on, which I thought was very odd. It does let me start and drive the car, but even after I park and turn the car off, the fobs do not work and the nav screen will not shut off. The car is an FBO car with the RR racing tune and intake, but it has been on there for over a month, and the issues started today. I am just curious to see if anyone else has had this problem arise before and if there are any solutions?

I will start with unhooking the battery and hoping that works, but any other advice is appreciated.

Unhooking the battery did nothing, still trying to figure this out. Any help at all would be amazing.

Is your battery dying at all?

Nope, battery tested out fine.

About two hours after I unhooked the battery, the screen finally went off, so the issue seems to have fixed itself, I’m just worried it might happen again. I saw an old thread on the other site where someone had the same problem and the same thing happened: it just fixed itself. I’ll make sure my mechanic does a thorough check of everything electrical just in case there is some underlying issue, but for now it is all good.

Fixed itself as in fobs working again?
So what happened when you got in and tried to start it? Did it start or display fob not detected?

I'm not sure you've noticed but the nav unit runs a fan for a bit after the ignition is off. No clue what the link to wireless communication and nav are??? Have you ever taken it to the dealer for firmware updates?

Better have some jumper cables handy...
