Does anyone have any idea of what to do? I bough a Tom's diffuser and it wont fit with the Joe Z quad tips on.... The body shop is going to charge me 1100 to trim down the carbon on the diffuser... any help is mostly appreciated...

Sorry to hear, I don't have any suggestions but this was a fear of mine since there was no pictures with the exhaust installed with a diffuser, thus one of the issues why I didn't pull the trigger along with the cost. Did you try talking to MIJ about the issue?

I feel the same way. I specifically asked in the original vendor thread if it will fit with toms rear and was told it would.

keep us updated please.

Yikes, hope that wasn't a design overlook by JoeZ or PTS or whoever designs those systems.I prefer the look of single wall tips anyway which is why I've yet to pull the trigger on any of the through tip exhaust systems. The GOAT is the Greddy and those A-holes are busy making systems for freakin C5 Corvettes that have never heard of Greddy than us ISF owners on a budget haha.

You need to look for a different shop...if all they at doing is trimming to fit, that job should be an hour or two max.

1100 pesos maybe you need a different shop. Sell it and get a S4play diffuser

I may remember a thread of the same issue with the ISS Forged exhaust. someone said they just took their time cutting parts of the Toms diffuser until the exhaust fit...don't quote me on that tho

For what it's worth, I have a tom's rep diffuser and found a magna flow quad tip upgrade for the borla catback from RR racing. I had the same issue and could not fit the tips in there without it rubbing on all sides of the diffuser. It may be ok since it was double walled, and with addition of heat tape perhaps even more so, but it wasn't a risk I was willing to take. The wald I believe doesn't have this issue.

1100 seems extremely steep to trim the diffuser. Is that to cut and then re-clear the whole piece? I would ask for a breakdown of the material and labor, then shop it around.

Still very steep even with the re-clear. Srill would only have about 2 hours max into the job.

Bumping this out of curiosity of anyone successfully running the joez quad tips with wald diffuser or any other diffusers for that matter.
