Default ISF to ZL1

Had a great time with the ISF but now it's time to part ways. Chevy has come a long way and stepped up their game. IMO, I find that Toyota/Lexus are being a bit too conservative and again, just my opinion.

My new 2018 Camaro ZL1 6spd. Didn't get a chance to really get on it cause of the rain. So far I'm really enjoying it and it's quite comfy too but it's a chore getting in and out of the car.
I will miss the ISF.

Are you related to I8ABEMER???!?

Lol, j/k. Congrats on the new car. Check out I8ABEMER's post, which is identical to yours, for 6+ pages of comments on this subject. Definitely a track star you just bought though!
Also, was you F an 08? Buying or leasing the ZL1?

Nice choice with the ZL1, prepare for some backlash here

Lol. I saw his thread but have been considering the ZL1 before he even purchased his ZL although his thread did help me make my decision easier. My ISF was a 08 and I'm purchasing the ZL1.

Thanks. I'm prepared for some heat. If there was a carb legal supercharger for the ISF, I probably would of went that route. I don't want to deal with the haggle of smog and running into smog check points here in CA. The ZL1 handles great and is a missle. It's not perfect but pretty close IMO.

I was once brand loyal owning only Toyota and Honda products. One day I test drove a 2006 GTO and that car forever changed my opinions on American cars. I started branching out and never looked back. Now I'm just a car enthusiasts having owned Japanese, American, and European brands.

Enjoy! It seems to be a worthy upgrade/replacement to your F.

Congrats! Those ZL1's are very impressive. I've seen a few around here and they look pretty good.

I do agree with you on Lexus being to conservative. I really wish they would bring the IS-F back with more power.

Thanks. Yes, I wish they added some force induction to their F line ups. That would be epic.

The 2006 GTO was not an American car. It was built in Australia.

BTW, I owned two of the real American GTOs - a 1967 and a 1970.

1. Move out of Cali
2. Saves a ton on taxes and have more access to freedom
3. Get forced induction
4. ????
5. Profit

Congrats on the purchase. Nothing but good things about ZL1 so far (besides some odd engine check lights/TRAC sensors and the amazingly crappy customer service at Chevy dealerships for warranty work).

Congrats on the purchase! She looks great in red. The ZL1 is on my short list of future cars.

Congrats! This color will get attention. Enjoy the car. I drove a 2013 and liked it.

Congrats buddy !! Many happy miles !! I've done 2 track days in mine and put 3300 miles on mine in 8 weeks and have already been to an out of state track . Just did Chuckwalla last week and Im heading to Willow Springs to hit BIG Willow in December and Laguna Seca and COTA in 2018. Great car. Super comfortable, refined , and VIOLENTLY Fast!! Make sure to get the sway bar TSB done. Super easy . Prepare for the love from everyone. People are going to be giving you the thumbs up, taking pics, and jumping in front of the car to talk to you or to take a look. I had no idea the first ZL1 was made in 1969. Theres a lot of heritage. I bought it for performance mainly but cool to find out theres a reason all the older muscle car guys drool over it too. It's fun !

PS Smaller SC pulley and CAI will literally give you a 100 hp boost and 10 sec qtr mile time .........literally. ( chevy released a kit at SEMA this year heehhee ) Welcome to the ease of FI tuning too ! Check out ZL1 exclusive on Facebook.

Thanks everyone. The ZL1 is a great sports car, but the ISF had charm. Wish I could've kept both but I couldn't.
