My best guess given the repeated history of "no heat" issues would be a combination of the valley plate leak + abuse + not regularly inspecting the car. I bet the majority of the coolant leaked out and the car most likely overheated or ran very hot, warping the head.

I could be wrong but I think the owner of that car is in Brooklyn, NY. And those headlights were customized in oneightnyc check out the Instagram under that name and scroll down to aug 20th 2015 and you will find it. I've seen that guys Instagram and all of a sudden all pictures were deleted.

I agree, that thing must have run low on coolant and overheated. ISFs just don't blow headgaskets. Cars in the NYC area take a brutal beating on suspension and brakes as well.

Dealer posted an ad over a month ago I think but just put up pictures this week. Based on what I'm reading in this thread and the history, they probably bought it sight unseen at auction, got it and it was a disaster and was undergoing conditioning. Probably wasn't even at the dealer until now.

Best to stay away from these cars that they have to send to Auction to sell them. JMHO If they have been to an Auction, you need to check them 10 times harder...

I found my 2012 ISF in 2014 at a BMW dealer in Denver, Colo. 1 owner car.. Bought it sight unseen and had it shipped to San Antonio. But it had no mods and was taken care of.

Sure love my Nebula Gray Pearl and Red Interior.. Had to look quite awhile . Do not get that dreaded "Buyer's Ego" and buy too soon... Ha!!
