Need Advice Getting A Lexus IS F
2013's would be my choice. Lower milage if it's "clean" but 70k miles sounds like a good deal too. If you don't drive much like less then 10k a year I wouldn't mind higher milage at all. Just make sure u can do ppi at your independent mechanic.
Definitely need more information, they could all be great deals or terrible deals based on :
Tire tread left?
Brake life?
Maintenance records? If so @ dealer? or done at home?
Accidents? Damage?
Paint work?
Over-all condition?
Has the car been a track toy?
Modifications? If so do they have original parts? Were they installed properly and professionally?
Are all the parts original?
Certified?

OP: in case you're not aware, there were significant suspension changes in 2011, then a slight wheel change in 2012 (not a factor if you're going aftermarket wheels). There's lots of smart people and other threads in the forum on these changes, you might want to get familiar with it before you decide what year model is right for you. Good luck!
Ok almost there probably by this weekend I narrowed it down to 2 cars 2011 with 43000miles super loud after market exhaust don't know which one, te37 rims, wald's CF trunk spoiler, rear cf diffuser, front lip from a dealer or stock 2013 with 70000miles private same price

If you're going to mod it yourself, buy the one with the mods IMO. Cheaper to let someone else do it and eat the depreciation on all those items.
Something else to take into account, when it comes time to sell it, it will likely be much easier to sell a car that's completely stock. If this matters to you, I'd lean towards the second one.
Good luck!

So hard to decide, yeah the 60k service has been done, it's the milage if the the 2013 was about 12k miles less I would take it.
its just that in 2 years I'll have around 100k miles on the 2013 and the 2011 would be around 70k I'm planing to keep for atleast 5years.
aaaahhhh this thing is making me crazy

$30k for 2011 with 43k miles is a very nice deal. If u don't mind the mods and car is in great condition, then get it.

I spent about a year looking for the right ISF before I settled on my 2011. My ideal combo was 2011 and newer (because of the suspension) + less than 50k miles for under $35k. Never popped up.
Finally, I came across a private party seller who was in a rush to sell his 2011 w/ 55k because he was moving to New York. I paid about $1,500 more than KBB value and felt like I got a really good deal since these cars are so hard to find. This was the first car that I've purchased with that "high" of mileage, but I've put about 11k miles on it in the 6.5 months I've been driving the car. No problems for me (minus that painful 60k service), but I plan on driving my car for a while so I stopped caring about mileage. It's a Lexus after all, should run for another 200k miles.
I got lucky since the previous owner babied the car and drove it as his weekend car. I think in some instances, you might be better off getting a high mileage car that's been properly cared for than a low mileage car that's been flogged hard. I agree with the previous posters about modding though: you probably shouldn't care about mileage if you plan on changing this up on the car.
Part of the game is patience. Gotta wait it out and find the right one. These cars are rare/valuable, so it's hard to find one that's "perfect." You have to compromise somewhere, whether that's price or condition...unless you have some coin and can buy a 2014 for like $47k. Either way, good luck to you! When you find one you like, you'll have a hard time ever letting it go!

Personally, I'd choose the least "messed with" car. The 2013 with low miles sounds like a no brained. The 2011 would be nice as well since it also has the LSD, etc like the '13 would . I Wouldn't personally go with anything older than an '11 when I get another F. Good luck. You'll love it either way :-)
I'd go for the cheaper, higher mileage 2013. It isn't like 4 years is a very long time, but one should take into account how long the car has sat without being driven. Not many do.
Then again, 4 years isn't that long of a time. And you plan on selling in 5 years. Perhaps either 2013 will suit you - go for it.
