So i came across this diff and it says 2010 but i need to be sure its the torsen lsd. If anyone can confirm that it is i'd be very grateful! Thanks in advance.
See this thread, Post #93. That tag does not look like the PN tag, but some sort of date tag. Looks like 9/12/07. If that's the case, and I'd bet it is, it's an '08 diff.
For reference, the Japanese typically format their dates by Year/Month/Day. If that is the case, then the date on the tag in the first picture is December 7, 2009.
Alex, have 'em shine a light through the axle hole. On the 2008 - 2009 "open" carrier you can see all the way through it. With the 2010 & later torsen equipped carrier, no light gets through.
But in Dec of '09, they would have been building MY 2010.
