We have/had 3 in MA area, that '11 w/70k for $30k (if you didnt mind white leather), and there are 2 2010s on cars.com. I am assuming 2011 one is sold, so maybe check out one at Toyota of Wellesley. Its 1 owner, no accidents, they say 60k service was done as well, has some chips on hood and some curb on wheels. Its been for sale for a while and price was dropped twice ($30k now), maybe they are willing to drop more or refinish everything to make it look mint.

I went to check that one out, it's a great deal just not sold on it. This 2011 with 70k for $30k you speak of sounds like an awesome deal. Is it white on white.? There's another in Watertown but I haven't had a chance to check it out

Yes, 2011 one was white on white, listed in MA or in CT. Set email triggers on CL and cars.com, sometimes there are plenty of local New England deals, other times you can wait 6 month or whatever

PS. Consider CT and NY in your searches. I bought my last 2 cars there

TORSEN LSD was first introduced in 2010. The revised suspension really didn't take place until 2012; it is noticeably more compliant than 2008-11 for sure, but in my opinion, it's almost on par as a set of aftermarket coilovers can achieve if you're searching for a luxury cruiser type of a ride feel. And wheels....2012 will be 1/2 inch wider all around, though Lexus kept the tires the same size. Outside of those items, in your situation, I'd widen the search for 2010s, and they should be within reason in comparison to the 2008-09 models.

Best of luck!
The revised suspension came in 2011. This is the year that the ride became more complainant and time dropped by about 8 secs around VIR. 2012 and 2013 did have small further revisions but they were never tested to see any performance differences. The mayor revision was in 2011.

the 2011 white on white might be the same that's posted in CT but as private sale. Yeah I have it set to about a 600 mile radius on Cars.com Truecar.com Autotrader.com

Hmm... Maybe because only approximately 28% of all ISF are 2011+???

I was in the same boat, but ended up finding a gem of an 08 for the right price I couldn't pass up. But originally I was aiming at 2010 cause you still got legit LSD, and I liked the 08-10 cluster better. But that's just my own personal preference, if I had to do it again I would've stuck with trying to find a 2010.

But I honestly I would go as new as you can find at this point

AutoTrader usually has quite a few, you may have to travel to get what you want, don't settle!

it's the instrument cluster that gets me. I'd go with the 2011+ but I don't like have a huge tach and small speedometer. Even if the speed is digital. I'll probably just get a 2010 and do all the steering, suspension, handsfree upgrades myself.

No settling here! I did that with my GTI I currently have and I'm sick of it. It's just finding the best price/mileage for a 2010

I personally think the 2011+ cluster is better designed. You don't have to move your eyes from side to side to see both engine and vehicle speed, they are both straight ahead.

I will be in Lexington, MA this Sunday through Friday if you want to meet for coffee after 5 PM and talk about the car.

I'm also biased towards the 2011+ cluster. I find the shift lights particularly handy but that's just me.

It really depends on what you plan to do with the car. If you are leaving it all stock then go for the LSD, revised suspension, etc.
If you plan to mod, all of that gets thrown out the window and it comes down the aesthetics at that point. I personally don't like the newer cluster, seats, colorful steering wheel, sunroof switches or the crappy torsen LSD. About the only thing I would take are the LED headlights and steering ECU. My car is pretty much an OS Giken diff away from making the 10+ a far lesser car IMHO....aside from the headlights and steering ECU which are easy swaps, then again I like thue AFS as well.
You're welcome to check out my car if you want. I'm planning to part with it this year and I'm in Burlington MA.
