Default Sticky Dash

Coming from anow IS350 that had a sticky dash, I'm currently looking into upgrading to an ISF. Just wanted to know if all years of the ISF will eventually have the sticky dash? I am looking at purchasing a 11-13, but I just hate that I'll be in hot climate and the dashboard will end up melting away one day.

I've seen some 08s that just because of the sheer price difference I want to actually check out and potentially purchase, but the sticky dash is really what's turning me off. The price of a low mileage 08 is anywhere from 5-10k difference compared to a 11-13. Anyone know the price to switch out a melting dash?

I would think that alot depends on where the car is from and if it was garaged. My 09 does not have this problem.

I have an 08 and don't have an issue also. And mine has been sitting out in the sun the whole day at work, and at times seeing 100 degree heat. I honestly think it is the type of cleaner some people have used on their dash that makes it deteriorate.

^^I agree it's probably the cleaners in conjuction with a hot climate. It really seems like a hit and miss as not everyone has this issue.

For the op, I'm sure you'll be fine assuming you take care of the dash and use sunshades etc...

I didn't think about cleaners, but yeah.

I know an ex ISF owner that his dash got swapped out for free for some kind of reason at a Lexus dealership, and his dash wasnt messed up. So, does anyone have and idea why Lexus would do anything like this?

Well Im trying to get, if this is something that would be covered or some kind of TSB or whatever, so the people with this issue get theirs replaced.

I had a 06 and my dash didn't start to get sticky until the 9th year of owning the car. I had over 100k miles and live in central California so in the summer it's 90-100 degrees the whole summer. I plan on keeping the car for a long time, so I just hope I don't run into this problem with it.
