Default Brakes squeaking BAD

so i replaced my front and rear brakes about 5-10k miles ago....maybe about a year ish....long story short they are squeeking gnarly. I didnt replace my rotors when i replaced my pads and im curious...could it be the fact they are squealing badly because i need new rotors?

thanks

Take some time and measure your rotors. The minimum thickness is as follows:

Front 28 MM & Rear 26 MM

I believe somebody had a similar issue and when he replaced the rotors, the sound went away.

Most of the members here are running the OEM Rotors and Project MU Ns400 pads for less dust.

Use the Brembo brake grease on the brake pad shims. Works wonders

It's more than likely 100% pad related. What pads are on the car now? As 3nergiziz3d mentioned there are popular pads that most people like to switch to in order to minimize dust and eliminate noise (Project Mu NS400 is one of the best options for this car). However before you go spending money that you may not have to, you can try fixing what you currently have. The first (and easiest) thing I would recommend is re-bedding the brakes. Do a few 60-10mph slows back to back trying to build some heat and put a fresh transfer layer on the rotors.

Was going to ask, did you apply the anti-squeal grease to the back of the pads?

Yeah mine too. I replaced them with StopTech pads without replacing my rotors as they measured at 29mm (only half worn). And they squeal more than a truck, it's really embarrassing but at the same time I don't want to replace my rotors if I don't have to yet. I have a pair of front and rear Brembos sitting in the garage cause I thought I needed new rotors already. At this point I'm not sure what to do.

back of pad or back of shims.

Funny thing that I used the brembo grease on my is250 last weekend to eliminate the squeal. Those pads had two sets of shims on each of them. I didn't remember the F having two sets

I agree. Try bedding in the pads if you haven't already. Also, clean the rotors with BrakeClean spray

This has been discussed several times over. The calipers on the ISF are Brembos. And Brembo states you must use Grease on their brakes. Forget what everyone else says. Lexus also has a part number for the grease, and it comes in the same tube as the Brembo grease, hence, it is exactly the same grease.
I swapped to Stoptech pads with stock rotors, and my brakes squealed like a dam freight train. Added grease to the backs of the shim, no issues and no squeals since.

Stoptechs were terrible for me too! Ended up replacing with Project Mu NS400 and oem rotors. Never squeeked again.
