Default Traction light on (won't turn off) - code U0126 - ideas?

So my traction light has been on for the past week and won't turn off. I took it to my local shop and Tech Stream threw out the following code:

U0126 - Lost Communication With Steering Angle Sensor (SAS) Module
https://www.obd-codes.com/u0126

The other week I did remove the steering wheel and accidently broken the spiral assembly, which I replaced with an aftermarket piece.
Detailed in this thread: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...n-learned.html
Does anyone know if this code is related to the fact that I had to replace the spiral assembly?

Problem 1 bolded. Not sure why you chose that route, but it's where I'd start for sure. When you were connected to Techstream, did you have the DTC cleared?

Yeah I figured I'd give the aftermarket to see what would happen. I'll go for a new one now.
The mechanic did try to clear it for me, with no luck.
