Buying a CPO ISF 2012
#16
Hi,
Been on the forum forever. But I think I am ready to join the family.
I found this CPO-ISF. I contacted them and they recently did the rear brakes and oil change. They told me the previous owner service with them religiously. I feel the price is on the high side, but there is no other CPO ISF in 150 miles within me. Don't know if this is a fair price.

Dealer is a professional and their business is to sell cars and make money. If they have to, they will make a junk car into a "brand new" CPO and you will never even know.
It will take less that 24 hours to remove mods, spray paint front and rear bumpers, touchup scratches, pull all dents, and detail the car inside and out......and CPO is ready to sell
Depends on the situation, I would have coating thickness tester, because you cant even trust Carfax/Autocheck. With PP sale you can usually tell if person is honest or not, with dealer its impossible and they might not even know the history themselves. For regular cars I probably wouldnt care much if car itself is good, but ISF might be a different story

No sir I did not drive it. But the body did look nice, and the interior was clean, so it did look good. Obviously I wasn't about to buy it, so I didn't think to drive it, although it would've been fun!

im sure you can get them down to around 37k. I bought my 2011 last march with 40k miles. it was posted for $40k, I was able to talk them down to 35k, I even walked out because I wasn't going to pay more than 35k. they kept going lower and lower, first by 2k, then by 500 at a time then 200, then I said no more BS, if you cant get me 35k and im out, but if you can I will sign today. I started my truck and was backing out the parking lot and the sales man called me back and said we got a deal. I was able to get them down 5k from asking price. Good luck with the purchase and stay strong!

Just get a PPI done by a ASE certified master mechanic and you will be good. When I bought my '12 the mechanic found an oil leak with the fuel pump gaskets and it was fixed for free. Also, look at the body for defects, paint chips, scratches, dents. etc and point that out to the sales guy to negotiate a lower price.
