Default Wanted to upgrade to Alcantara Seats

Hello,

I have a 2008 ISF and really like the look of the Alcantara seats in the newer models. I looked at Mylparts.com and was wondering if it's possible to just swap out the seat covers in the front and back seats instead of purchasing the entire seat assembly?

Thanks!

Yes, you may be able to do that.. However, apparently it's not easy.. CL member lobuxracer did it & said it's quite a chore, even for someone with some experience & the necessary tools.

Even if you can, you're looking at big money for the covers alone. The cost for the drivers bottom seat cover alone is almost $600 and you are going to need that x2 plus front seat backs plus the rear seats bottoms and tops.....I have to imagine with labor you're looking at around 5k. Oh yeah, almost forgot the headrests...throw in another ~2g for those.

Yeah that is a good point. Just wanted to see if it were possible down the road, seem like a good project down the road after she's all paid for =).

It will not be cheap, I can tell you that. I bought a pair of Evo 8 Recaros back in the days and had to fix one of them, it was $275 just to swap a broken clip.
