RC-F Differential into IS-F?
#61
Lol..not sure if you mean the LSD making a big difference or turning the VSC off... all I know is it doesn't do the wiggle crap any more...just kicks the rear to the right a little and goes... I just wish there was a way to turbo these cars... the damn 2018 mustang 5.0 which looks ALOT like the 2UR-GSE engine ...they can turbo the 12 to 1 compression 5.0L motor and make just north of 700hp...I hate the ECU's on this car it holds modding these cars back big time!

If you don't want to bother with changing the diff cover, you can just install the Figs differential bushings (please do all four at the same time!!) and you can clock the poly bushing to match the existing cover. The poly bushings all but eliminate wheel hop and are worth every penny. I put them in when I installed the Giken spool and have never looked back.

I just put inserts in the two pinion mounts, it got rid of my clunk noise I was having...the diff cover change was easy...its 8 bolts and it already has dowel pins in the cover to line it back up..I just used a small amount of gray sealant and easy peasy install...I could post up links to a few other RC-F diffs...they are on ebay listed as " lexus rc-f differential carrier" 1 or 2 for 900$ a few for 1400$ and a few for 1700$...
edit- the 900$ was bought, hope it was one of you guys...there are still a few for 1400$ if it has or best offer shot low..like 1100$

Once my car runs and suspension is on I'll be looking.
Im just torn because I wonder if the OSG would provide better lockup and more traction since I'll be pushing my 275s. Either way it's probably time for NT555Rs

Since you're playing around with the electronic stability settings to see how it impacts your available traction with the new LSD, try doing the pedal dance to also disable the eLSD. When you long press the traction control button, the eLSD is still active which may/may not be what you desire.

Ask Mike for assistance if you are confused by all the options. It took me a bit to wade through them myself.
Seals are from Lexus, but if the seals in the unit you have are not damaged, you don't need new ones. If you want peace of mind by putting new ones in, use part number 90311-47018. You'll need two of them.

I have a 2011 LS460 Sport (Version SZ in Japan). These 2010-12 models seem to have the same E differential that plagued the 2008-09 ISFs. Without fully disabling Traction I can easily spin just the inside 285 rear tire cornering.
The carrier looks the same as the 2013+ LS460 FSport which has the factory Torsen. After reading the above posts can anyone confirm if I can swap the same Torsen guts from a 2010+ ISF or RCF/GSF into mine ? Is my carrier open to those options despite looking different from the outside ?

Gymrat, you just have to be stopped, not necessarily in "park" and hold the button for ~5 sec to disable track.

ljdsong... did the Fig bushing work with the RC F carrier in the IS F? I am in the process of changing out my 2008 IS F carrier for the RC F carrier and wanted to make sure these bushings worked before I order them. Thanks
