Interesting...to me it hits that sweet spot for the price, and it says Android Auto will be supported in February. https://gromaudio.com/store/vlite/index.html
I wonder if this will have CarPlay and uses the same hookups as the VL1? If all I had to do is switch out the old one for the new one, I would really consider this.
Also, can anyone confirm if AirPlay works on any of the newer firmware updates? It never worked for me in the past on VL1 and I have not updated in a while.

is there any reason youd like iPhone mirroring? Android auto for the android users out there, sure, but why mirroring when you have way more power than that already.

Airplay works, but it's largely useless under most use cases. In order to do airplay, you have to have the 2 devices on the same WiFi network (ie - if you're in your garage and your phone and vline both connect to your home router). It doesn't work when you use your phone as a hotspot and have the vline use your phone. I suppose it should work if you get a lte hotspot and have both your phone and your vline connect to that ......

Hopping over here from the RC section, mainly cause this thread is interesting. But has anyone looked at NavTool? https://www.navtool.com/lexus-rc-201...interface.aspx I don't know a whole lot about the reliability of their stuff, finding info is a bit hard but I have found a few demo videos on youtube from independent people. They have carplay interfaces for some of the lexus line, although you have to be careful as sometimes the stock navigation tools, trackpad, joystick, etc don't always work with their stuff. I was looking at their HD phone mirroring, a lot of kits out there for mirroring aren't HD. Carplay is nice, but comes with some serious limits on what you can and can't use for which mirroring seems to be the answer.
Le Sigh, I love my Lexus, but Toyota's stubbornness to not introduce carplay until this model year is frustrating to say the least.
