Battery voltage drops in manual mode
Ok so this is a real mystery. I took my car to my alternator guy. He tested the alt and battery and didnt find any issues. They reved the engine but the voltage never dropped. I got the car back and got on it hard on the way home and ofcourse it started to drop again. Im going to have to go to the dealer and take my advisor for a drive, because just revving the engine a few times will show nothing.
I dont push her until the engine warms to 2-3 bars.
On my way to work this morning, when I decided to push her the volts dropped, but this time it never came back like in the past when it would drop then come back once I began driving like an old lady.
So it appears to be getting worse.

Finaly figured it out. Went to lexus and they tested and said because of my stereo try adding a cap. I ended up adding an extra battery. WHile my stereo sound soooooooo much better, it didnt help my votage drop issue. Went back to My alternator shop and said pull the amp and beef her up. THey added a new regulator and beefed up the rectifier with 50 amp diodes instead of 35. Alt on test bench was pushing over 250.
