Maybe this is a climate-related issue? I noticed most of you guys are based in Florida or Texas.

Mine doesn't have an issue. Located in CA.

Yup, the materials deteriorate when exposed to excess heat & humidity. Kinda' like the airbags.

Read the stickied threads mentioned earlier.

i believe from past forum readings (also someone mentioned it above) that it only affected the 2008 isf. 2009 to 2014 should be good.

My 2008 does NOT have any issues. It does however live it's life in the garage and when out of the garage a sun shade is used.

Same here in ATL. Garage and sunshade in the window almost without fail. The meet in Greenville was the most direct sun exposure it has seen in years. I mostly work from home. When I park at the airport, I am always in a covered spot.

I have a 08 and just started noticing that any portions of my dash or door panels exposed to direct sunlight for more then 20 mins become shinny and sticky. My car lives in the garage and I always use a sunshade when parked outdoors. I called Lexus Corporate requesting they include the IS-F in the dash and door panel replacement program. I made sure my request was documented in hopes that if enough IS-F owners complain they would reconsider including the F.

I have an 08 ISF and I live in SC....I def have the door panel and dashboard stickiness and melting issue..its the most annoying thing in this world right now to me...everytime I reach to open the door or close it I have go under my nails or a new mark on the door panels...I was told by corporate as well that it doesn't include the F but I went to the dealer anyway hoping for the best...its becoming so annoying that Im contemplating wrapping the dash and door panels with alcantara...cheap materials just have to find a competent shop....

Even those who are included in the dash and door panel replacement program are hitting road blocks.

we had a meet here in socal in one of the lexus dealers.. spoke with a service advisor and was told / advised with a wink that i just had to call lexus corporate and they will replace it even though mine wasn't part of the recall.. i have an '08.. also asked about the airbag issue and was advised they would provide a rental and they just needed to take a pic of my mileage and i can park my car in my garage..
