IredSF, that's one righteous suspension setup you have on your F, sir. It's where I'd like to have mine at some point in the future.

I've heard/read nothing but positive reviews on Ohlins coilovers from owners of other makes.

How much more road noise do you get with the spherical *****? Also, there's still a rubber bushing at the top of the knuckle - is there an option to ditch that as well? Finally, is Mike offering anything for the subframe to chassis mount? That made a huge difference with Supras, but I haven't seen anything for the 2IS/3GS (since they all use the same subframe in the rear).

thanks, the handling is really exceptional and I'm really happy that the used performance market on this site for our car is so robust and reliable. I've been able to build build the car much faster, better and cheaper because of it.

while power is FUN , handling makes it FUN TO DRIVE!

and that's why I wanted to remind folks to not neglect the handling department.

power is the WOW factor

handling is more satisfaction and appreciation of what the car is capable of.

based on the feedback I've gotten from everybody else that's driven the car,
it handles really REALLY well.

Spoon offers aluminium subframe to chassis bushings for the F.

really as long as it's all right in the back (check the nuts for play every 1000 miles or so) I don't think it's any noiser or rougher than stock mainly because the Ohlins still uses bushings not bearings, although the Penske guys should chime in here as I don't have any experience with bearings on Coilovers.

as for braces mixed opinion on those here it seems. There are solutions out there if you really want em but every time I'm considering it I just looking at the existing bracing on cars cars that would have to come off so the new stuff could go on and I just say to myself , nah not worth it. Although I'd like to hear from folks who've done it and get their opinion to see if it's worth it or not.

no added nvh in my opinion.

Not looking at braces, looking at the huge bushings the subframe uses to mount to the chassis. It was the root of wheel hop on the Supra.

Yes, I am looking at the same thing - make the car use the existing power more effectively. Very few are truly able to use all the power the car has stock, but by tightening up the handling, you can get a whole lot closer. Go to any track day and it's pretty obvious the most important part on the car is the nut behind the wheel, not the engine's power.

My exhaust will drown out any additional noise.

The Spoon pieces are actually collars, not bushings (or braces). They fill in the voids around the subframe attaching bolts which would also eliminate the oem adjustment point. Actual bushings shouldn't be too difficult to fabricate.

IredSF, how does your F ride compared to stock?
