Looking for an ISF and need help from the veterans!
Whats the going prices on 08 isFs with around 40-50k miles? I see that dealers are marking them up but are willing to negotiate alot, so I want to know what prices i should be trying to get.

I got my 2010 a year ago with 39000 miles for 33000. It was a CPO car with new PSS tires when I got it. I would think that below $30k is fair for a 2008 with that mileage.

Yes, I'd agree^^^. $28-$30k should be the OTD cost for one that year, that mileage, good condition, no accident history, etc.
Question though, is it possible to up your budget another $5-8k or so and get a '10 or '11 F? Or you it another $10k or so and grab a '12 or '13 F?! Would just get a more updated interior (cluster), suspension, lights, etc etc etc for not much more money. May have to grab one with a lil higher mileage to get closer to your price range for a more updated F, but no worries, these things are rock solid!

Thing I am seeing is everybody has around 70k miles and is asking in the high 20's. They need to be brought back down to reality. Car already is 8 years old and they are still asking for almost half of what the car is worth when brand new. One car on Ebay 2008 dealer wanted 37k. Wtf

My advice is if it is out of state have owner take it to a respected auto shop for a full inspection for prior damage. It has worked in my favor several times

Looking at an 08 Mercury Mettalic IS F, 63,xxx miles, 4 previous owners. The car was sold as an L certified car to the third owner at 51,xxx miles. $27,000 OTD. Cross shopping an 2011, also with 4 previous owners, with 103,xxx miles that I think I can negotiate down to the 08 price. Decisions, desicions... 08 has the better service record.

I would say low 30s to high 20s. Just make sure you find a clean one. Miles aren't really a problem, but lower the better!

Between the 08 and 11,. I'd have to say the 11 if pricing was equal. Yes, 100k+ miles is a lot, but this engine has proven to taking a beating and still remain strong and run smooth. A good number of F owners track their cars, have driven it past the 100k mark, and I have not really heard anything negative about the engine, its maintenance and upkeep, and just overall how the car performs. I don't think there is much to worry about. Best of luck!
