I keep my change in the ash tray and as everyone knows it is a pain to get it out. So, I started feeling around to see if the ash tray could be pulled out and turns out there is a switch to press and it comes right out!!

I was reading an old thread on where people put their change and everyone noted that it was a pain to get out of the ash tray, but no one knew that the ash tray could easily be pulled out.

Since I had no use for the ashtray anyway, I removed mine and had the Beat Sonic Navigation Bypass switch installed in that location. It's a nice concealed compartment, one I wish was a bit deeper to house larger objects, but it was the perfect location for the switch.

The silver piece comes off the top of the ashtray as well.. Just slide it straight up. Makes it way easier for digging up loose change

Yeah I noticed this too. I took my ashtray out so I could put my work badge in and not be seen. Pretty nice!

I use mine to stuff all the annoying radar detector wire into for a clean wired install. Still haven't gone wired into rear view mirror
