It's been about 5 years since I last drove the IS-F

I got to drive it again about an hour ago and I cant wipe the grin off my face

Edit: I'm going to take back possession of a stock 2008 IS-F with 80k miles
I replaced pads, rotors, water pump, tires, fluids, and have an extended warranty. Any other ideas? I'm thinking about cutting out resonators and calling it a day?

Personally I would skip the extended warranty and put the money towards mods because these cars are just so reliable. But if it's piece of mind you want then go for it.

I already got the extended warranty about a year ago, it was roughly 2000$ for 36k miles 3 years from a reputable company. I bought three policies for three cars all at the same price (per car), already on the LS600lh the warranty has paid for itself. So far on the IS-F it's covered some tire pressure monitoring stuff, the water pump, and a few other small things. I anticipate it will pay for itself soon. But I do agree on the reliability of the car.

I got distracted by an 08 M6 and then an 11 C63 and then a 15 GX460

exhaust , wheels , some carbon fiber goodies, and headers if you dont care about the added noise and NVH issues

I have started!!

HPS silicon tube is on the way, I ended up getting a great deal for a new one for 140$, from what I read all the intakes reduce power, but a hose adds just a tiny bit and adds some sound

I also read that all the headers really dont give much gains. Most gains were from deleting cats

I ended up getting my secondary cats deleted and the resonator deleted. I paid 120$ for a local shop to do it, great price I think.

How's it sound? Also did you notice a nice power difference? I was thinking about doing this also just didn't wanna hack up the stock exhaust if there wasn't much difference

I havent done any track runs or dynos, but power seems to be just a tad higher, acceleration is a bit better, sound is definitely better.

I always felt that my IS-F was *muted* compared to my C63 (before and after resonators cut) but now I think they are equal (not in overall sound, but overall effect)

I also don't have any smell
