First thing that came to mind when I originally read it were the points on the rotary engines. Message was vague, couldn't determine the subject to read the sarcasm.

 

If you plan to disable direct injection, you'd better plan to reduce static compression. There's a whole lot of advantage to direct injection from heat of vaporization reducing octane requirements over port injection.

 

Fortunately disabling it doesn't appear to be needed since those tables are editable.
