11+ ISF vs 16 IS350 F-Sport
So I tried searching a bit for some responses regarding this topic but I came up with nothing. :/
I am cross shopping (currently) a 2013 ISF and a brand new IS350 F-Sport. I was wondering if any of you guys have driven both cars and how their suspensions compare in terms of ride quality. Are they pretty comparable or will the 350 just ride that much smoother? Have you guys thrown any big dogs in the rear seats of one or either?
Personally, I gravitate to the ISF because I love speed and great handling. However, my lady and German Shepherd like smoother rides and will probably be real pissed if I have another poorly riding car. For reference, I have driven the e9x and f8x M3 several times and found their rides firm, but still very comfortable and not punishing. My last car was a 2009 WRX that drove and rode extremely poorly, but it may have been a lemon.

My heart says ISF all the way. Unfortunately, there are not any local ISFs for sale in this town that are 11+. I have ridden in a 2008 a long time ago and found it harsh, but I know Lexus fixed all of that in 2011.

I drove all the way from NJ back down to DC to get my ISF and didn't get uncomfortable haha. Never ridden in an 11+ ISF. Test drove multiple 08-10 ISFs and they all felt the same to me, but I guess that's to be expected haha.

The ISF will ride firmer by far, but the 2013 ISF will have all of the handling and ride quality improvements over the earlier cars BUT will still be firmer. If ride quality is paramount go with the 350. The F isnt bad but after owning an LS460 for a few years I would chuckle, and still do, at how bad the car rides on anything other than smooth roads. I like it now and have gotten used to it but when my wife rides in the car she is constantly commenting( nice word for complaining ) on how firm the ride is. I get in her Sienna and it feels like my LS compared to the F. Its all about compromise, but dont let someone kid you into thinking the ISF rides like a 350.

I'd wait & do whatever it took to get an ISF.
There's a local ISF owner that sold his new IS350 F-Sport to get a 2011 ISF.
The IS350 is a great car, but there's something "special" about driving the ISF. It was a "hero" car for the Lexus brand. Arguably the first in the line of true F performance cars.

2011 here. I been through all of them 250, & 350. As far as comfort you will definitely get it in the 250 & 350. Handling and legroom on the current IS is much improved from the 2nd gen. In terms of power, exclusivity, and all the other perks that come from the real F. I wouldn't trade it for anything. The F is just in a different league. After a while the 350 just wasn't enough when it came to power. It's fast, make no mistake. If you can spring for the F you will not regret it.

If you want a soft quiet ride with new technology and no ***** then go for the IS350.
If you want something that will be fun to drive everyday and put a smile on your face then the IS-F is for you.

LMAO . I've never ridden in a 350 but I went to a dealership with my friend last weekend to test drive a 3IS 2014 IS250 F-Sport and it was really comfortable with lots of rear leg room compared to the 2IS gen. The car felt very smooth but sluggish, I can't say for an IS350 though but I do know the ISF will make you grin everytime you start her up!

I did not know they changed the 2013 suspension to be that way. I don't mind stiff with a purpose, but my wife absolutely hates stiff cars.
