Default I made a BIG change

I'm going to start off by saying that I'm fairly certain this is a first as far "moving on from the ISF" stories go. After a little over five years of owning my F, I decided it was time for something different. I thought about moving on to the usual suspects (911, GTR, etc...) but my primary motivation for moving on wasn't to get something faster or something with more aftermarket support. I really just wanted something with a lot more room. Please don't flame me..... I think this may be a mid life crisis of some sort.

So to make a long story short, I picked up a 2014 Ford SVT Raptor a little over a week ago. It has the luxury package, Special Edition package, and the Roush Phase 2 supercharger package which gives it 590 hp / 590 tq. It's nothing like the ISF obviously, but it sure is fun lighting up the rear 35" tires on a 6000 lb truck every now and then. I'm still trying to get used to the idea of embracing the enormous wheel gap and the ridiculously small 17' rims. The wheel gap I will probably be able to deal with, but I see some flow formed 20" rims in my very near future. It's also a little shocking to see a tune offered in the $300 - $500 range!

Anyway, I will be checking in from time to time (meaning everyday) and keeping Club Lexus as my home page since my mom is going to be buying my F and since I plan to return to the Lexus line one day down the road. And without any further rambling, here are a few pics of the new DD.

I always thought that if I were to sell my F, it would be for a roomy truck with some luxuries. The Raptor is an amazing vehicle and while a completely different driving free and ride height than the F, I can see why there are a good number of them on the roads.

Great choice and enjoy it to the fullest!

Congrats on your new raptor! My brother wanted one so bad but with his budget, he had no chance. Enjoy your new toy!

Sweet ride! I've never really been a fan of trucks but the Raptor is one truck I wouldn't mind owning.

You will never know how many friends you have until you own a Pickem Up Truck!

It's funny you mentioned the TRD Tundra. It was on my short list of trucks to look at, but finding a late model supercharged Tundra with low miles these days is like finding a unicorn. Apparently Toyota decided to stop making the superchargers in June of this year. And after reading some of the horror stories about people trying to find a dealership that would do the ECU reflash for the supercharger, I just decided to bag the Tundra idea and go for the Raptor.

This is true. I've been borrowing everyone else's truck for years. I guess it's my turn to get the free beer now!

Congrats! Those are great trucks IMO and I'm sure you're gonna have a blast with it for years to come! I have an '02 Harley Davidson F-150, which if you're familiar with the Lightning is basically a 4-door version, so I can totally relate to having the space but still being able to make such a large vehicle move so quickly! For those that don't know, the HD's came with a SC'd 5.4 for 2 years ('02 & the Anniversary edition in '03). They are definitely a joy to drive! I took mine to the track about a year after I got it (which was several years ago now) and with full weight (fiberglass tonneau cover, tow hitch, etc.) and pretty much bald stock tires I was able to pull a 13.3 in the 1/4. Not bad for a full-size 4-door pickup with full weight I suspect she's capable of high 12's as she sits today but haven't made the time to get back down there; though I've been talking about it. Sorry, not trying to hijack your thread just wanted to share in the Ford/SVT love haha

Shot from a few years back when I picked up one of my other babies

Shot of the front-exit Bassani cat-back I put on earlier this year. Love the look and sound of this exhaust!

Definitely wanted the raptor before the F, but the price for the truck just isn't right.. It's also going up since the new ones aren't going to have the big engines as the older models have
