Carbon Fiber seats?
I was watching how it's made, Koenigsegg One , of course most of the car is carbon fiber.
They even shave off the leather to save weight. I was wondering how much our factory seats weigh.....I was guessing 150 lbs combined, but that's just a guess.
I then googled carbon fiber seats, found this:
http://www.tecnocraft.com/Tecnocraft...-Seat-P39.aspx
Each seat weighs 6.5 lbs!
It would be cool if an IS-F would weigh 3500 lbs..........

I sat in those seats myself and have lifted them with my pinky before. I thought they were rather comfortable (I almost fell asleep while testing them out in a quiet environment) and I would have bought them if it wasn't for the steep (to me) price tag while I was in college haha.

Im imagining I'd slide around in the seat too much..

Definitely looks slick. I'd want to put some Alcantara on them to prevent moving around too much.

Trouble is what do you do with all the redundant buttons and wiring?!
You'd probably need to store your stock seats somewhere if you ever needed to sell the car as well?
I'd love a pair of real Bride seats for my car.
Just not sure I can justify the cost and loss of all the functionality the stock seats offer.

trouble with CF seats is that most of them don't have luxury features. Heating/cooling/auto adjust are out.
height control is another issue. If you are shorter/taller than "normal", driving position can be awkward.

I took a quick ride in an Elise with a padded Technocraft seat and it was comfortable, at least for that short trip. I would definitely look at these for a track focussed car but I would be hesitant for a street car that had airbags in the seat that you are swapping out (insurance). Comfort and road practicality aside the pair of Technocraft seats that I saw looked awesome and they were set up to give you extra headroom (thin seat, adjustable brackets) which was a bonus.
