Better Tires?
I am comparing the Bridgestone PONTENZA and the Michelin PILOT SPORT for my 2013 ISF. Has anyone had any luck with one or the other? Mine currently has the original Bridgestone PONTENZA (I just purchased the ISF in Feb 2015). So far they are fine, however my husband likes the pilot series (for his motorcycle)...
If you have had either do you have any pros and cons? Oh and they are on the standard rims.
Thanks!

Michelin Pilot Sport 2 is a factory tire offering for the IS F. But many, myself included, have changed out to the Michelin Pilot Super Sport. It's a bit cheaper, has better wear, and the grips the road quite well.
Bridgestone Potenza RE050A is also a factory tire offering for the F, and I have heard mixed reviews about them. Some last awhile, while others noted it does not grip as well as the PS2 or PSS.

J2K That is good to know the PSS has good grip in wet and dry. I did notice my current ones (Potenzas) do not handle well when wet...or in ice (during Texas' freak once a year ice storms). I did get to use my "snow" mode
That is also good to know the PSS is cheaper than the PS!

Potenza is a generic name that Bridgestone uses for it's line of semi performance and performance tires. See attached. Without knowing the specific tire your speaking of, a determination of the quality of that tire can't be made.
Personally I have Bridgestone Potenza S-04 Pole Position in oversize 245/35/19 and 285/30/19 sizes, and I like them a lot:

But, I am an aggressive driver, and appreciate the handling I get from the S-04s.
I would not put an A/S tire on an ISF. That's a downgrade from the OEM tire.

I seem to be the only member "ho-hum'd" by the pss' but I am. I'd go for something else and will be next time around.

I also run the a/s 3 and it's dry traction is impressive being an all season. This tire also out performed multiple performance summer tires from tire racks testing.
