Not the best question. Gearboxes only care about torque. They couldn't care less about HP.

-Performance metal micropolished gears
-30 spline shaft upgrade
-SFI bellhousing
No bearing upgrades? Bearings and housings are what make a gearbox more reliable. Everything in your list is to make it shift better, not take more input torque. Shot peening the case is a good idea, and the spline shaft upgrade might have helped a little, but the rest of it is all for shifting, not for increased reliability.

Yes everything was upgraded. Car is fully built all the way around from ground up. Would you like to see torque numbers from the dyno sheet? Also the car built by one of the top builders in the LSX community. The shop is called CMS "Cunningham Motor Sports".. So yes everything was upgraded... I just didn't list every single thing

My god you're pedantic.

OP, question was asked because of I'm building a 4l80e to support similar power for a turbo LS.

And your supposition is the torque numbers will be the same for these two platforms? OK. An engineer would only ask what the torque is because it's all that matters. F1 engines make a lot of power, but have not recently made a lot of torque, so the gearboxes are smaller and lighter but still capable of supporting 800 - 1000 hp. A V-8 making 1000 hp at 5k rpm would crush that gearbox.

Pedantic? No, just someone who understands a little more than the average backyard tuner and asks questions to find answers in hopes of someone avoiding adding to the pile of burnt, twisted, shattered, cracked, and otherwise destroyed "experience."

You can always put me on your ignore list if you find what I post irritating.

I bet you have a hard time reading facial expressions.

Some of us here also have many qualifications but don't need to keep rubbing them in the faces others in the form of over poured over and knee jerked responses to the envisioned slights to 100% technical correctness. Sometimes communication is just banter, not an exact framework of reality surrounding an idea posted. Great job making a fun and exiting community as referenced in the sticky above.

Oh, one of my three engineering degrees is in Mech E. I might just know something about torque.

Ignore me if you like as well!

So my question is I am looking at picking up an exhaust system and I want one that is loud as well as that offers great power... I have been hearing about ISS Forged and Joe Z exhaust with leaning towards the ISS Forged before the stop production in Nov.

I have tried searching to see if any threads would pop up with others views but had no luck... So any help or opinions would be appreciated...

If you like the ISS Forged quad tip exhaust, we have TWO quad tip exhaust options.... and both are very reasonably priced:

I sold you that intake, so I already know you and it would be easy for us to meet up.

I have heard of the ignore list, how do you put people on it? Then can you still tell they posted and click to read the post it you would like? Can they still see your posts if they are on your ignore list? Thank you

NICE!! How much work was it to adapt our Bazooka back end to the Joe Z exhaust?
