ISF drop question
I did cut and test one spring which I cut every 3” around the circumference and measured the stack height and also did the load testing.
it was so much work and I was actively destroying my springs. So I sort of abandoned the project. Let me look at the data on the spring and I’ll report back.
Something to consider, the OEM has a sort of half coil that is wound at a lower slope to interface with the bottom perch. So if you cut much the bottom perch might be pretty suspect.
You could always cut it out from the middle and weld it...

Cut the end that is square cut. If the top is ground flat, cutting it will be dicey. I'd keep the cuts small - an inch at a time - so you don't get a rigid ride on out of control damping.
