I assume you meant winner and not runner? Yea, after putting porsche on top of my list, I did end up with the CLK black. It's a ludicrous monster of a car, but I can go into details if OP is interested.

Yea pricing is closer to the turbos, but I think you might be confusing the MBs... the black series are far from luxury sedans or big coupes. They are completely geared for handling and the track (No pun intended), akin to a GT3 or CSL M3 (Especially the C and CLK).

Like many others have said, if this is going to be a FUN car then ISF probably wont cut it.

The ISF is a great well rounded daily driver, with the power, looks and exclusivity above most "normal sport sedans" like the G37/Q50, 3 series, 4 series, A4 A6, C class, M class etc etc and allows fun when you want to go at it.

But the porsche is meant for fun,. Even my wife's base boxster is more "fun" to drive than the ISF (other than the crazy torque we get in the F), lightweight, superb gear box, responsive engine, great fuel economy...not to mention a 911 S. My only thing about the 997 is the dated interior, looks like a downgrade to the F even. If it's me I would try to get a 991 if budget allows

Maintenance cost is higher on the Porsche for sure, and the parts wont last as long as the japs, but if it's just going to be a weekend fun car, you will be fine i think
