I like the idea of Alcantara because it is a lot more grippy than semi-aniline leather, but I am concerned the Alcantara covers will be just as prone to wear at the bolsters

Anyone with Alcantara seats having issues with wear? I know they came out in 2012 so they might not have a lot of mileage on them, but if someone has experience with this, I would love to hear about it.

Otherwise, I'll be joining the Fibrenew repair club.
Definitely go the Alcantara route if you like to track or do a lot of canyon roads. They grip your butt like glue. I've had a passenger say, "Damn, your seats hold me so well it feels like I can't even move."

I did notice when shopping for a V that the Recaros in the V cars almost always had damage on them like the F seats. I'm guessing since they are similar in shape it must be that the narrow bolstered seats just get worn down. C63 cars I looked at seemed to have seats that weren't nearly as worn down as the V and the F cars.
nice man I bet you enjoying the powerband of that supercharged v8? pretty good mpg too.. mind if I ask what year ctsv did you upgrade to?

Thanks man. I ended up with a 2012 sedan with 6 speed manual transmission. It is a CPO car with 30k miles on it. So far I have added just an intake and running straight pipes and it sounds amazing. Was surprised how much sound u get from an intake on this car. Got car in July and so far no issues at all and I daily drive it. Car has CPO warranty for 3 years so I'm not really worried if something breaks. Gas mileage def not one of the car's attributes but I def drive it hard so not expecting to get decent mileage. Here she is.
