DCTMS Steering Wheel came this morning

Looks great Lou, I'm very tempted to order one just like that myself. My only hesitation is I wish the stock F logo on the bottom was recessed, like the stock one.
I know the ebay seller does that but cost wise DCTMS is considerably less expensive, plus they do sponsor the forum which is nice.

Installed. IMHO, it look GREAT and the feel is even BETTER. BTW, maybe it doesn't look like it in the pictures, but the emblem is recessed. The top of the emblem is level with the CF. And again, just the way I ordered it.
Edit - One thing I forgot to mention is the difference in weight. The DTMS wheel is substantially heavier than the stock wheel.

Very nice! Did you specifically told them you wanted it thicker or did they change the design somehow?
I remember my all leather DCTMS wheel was disappointing in the thickness department. I should go and measure my '12 F wheel to see how they compare, if it's thicker I might swing for the DCTMS over the eBay one....

Not trying to thread jack - but for those who are curious I spoke to DTMS and they told me they could make an all leather version with the thicker top (like Flowrider's) - but that is considered a custom build (and is more expensive). They source the Ebay ones from a different manufacturer..thus the thinner top.

Bringing this thread back. Last week I got back from a 972 mile round trip to Lake Arrowhead. This trip made me really appreciate how nice my new steering wheel really is.
The 10 and 2 position really feels GREAT and I'm always touching padded leather. 9 and 3 is also comfortable as is really any place I touch. I'm really pleased that I chose to put leather, rather than carbon at the top. Driving the twisty mountain roads was really fun with the DCTMS wheel. Touching padded leather is far more comfortable and grippier than a slippery hard surface. I guess that's why auto manufacturer's started using soft touch and leather wrapped steering wheels in the first place. Remember the old large diameter skinny plastic wheels of old?
I also believe the added weight of the new wheel over stock helped the whole experience. The steering feel is different in a GOOD way. Sort of like the Steering Damper that's standard on the ISF, but not standard on the ISX50. The ISX50 folks, seeing the benefit of the damper, have been adding it.
I guess, I can wholeheartedly recommend the DCTMS wheel. I certainly luv mine

why is the top portion not perforated? Is that what you wanted?
