Much appreciated!!
Huge improvement over 08 and 09 OEM steering wheel. The DCT isn't thicker than the 10+ OEM. I just got done meeting up with the OP for some Vietnamese food and we were able to compared our steering wheel. The eBay leather quality is still much better, and thicker. Overall design is also better too. Pay up if you really want top notch products. With core exhange, you can get the eBay one for about 1k with the top and bottom in carbon plus the F logo, that's about the best price DCT can get you their steering wheel with top and bottom carbon for.

I think you're biased cause you already spent the money.

The ebay wheel is a little thicker, but not as much by the paddle grips as I expected. Leather is nice, but...I still think the DCT one is nice too. I don't have the CF bottom so mine was considerably less, if you're looking for top and bottom that may be a different story. I also wanted to keep my core since I'll swap everything back to stock one day when the F eventually goes.

Good to see you and Josh, nice rides...and awesome Vietnamese food!

Darn, I have 2012. I did email the ebay seller though and the non-carbon (ie leather only) model was 800 + $350 core charge. Seems like you may have gotten offered a better price or you don't get much of a discount for non-carbon, sounds like that's the direction for me to go to be happy though.

Yeah non carbon is basically 200 bucks cheaper. I would rather do both top and bottom carbon since it's not much of a saving. You have to deal with the seller outside of eBay for better pricing since there is no ebay fee involved. 1200 bucks if you don't send in your core basically, with your core is 1000 after you pay for shipping to Australia. My 08 core has 110k miles on it so it's not worth keeping for me. Some of you guys with the 10+ good condition steering wheel can probably trade plus like 200 cash with your local 08 and 09 owners. Then ship the 08 out to her. Cheap upgrade for the 08 guys to 10+ and cut your cost down on your end too.

The X5M had a very thick wheel so it's not as thick as that but its a lot better feeling than my stock 09 wheel. I still use my BMW tuning shop for my installs and they seemed impressed with it as well. I have never drove the 10+ so I can't comment on that.

Has anyone who ordered the eBay wheel with a core exchange actually gotten their refund for the core wheel yet?

I see that they received my stock wheel last Thursday but they haven't credited my account yet and have also not responded to the last couple email's that I have sent them. I'm hoping this doesn't end up with me having to do a dispute with my credit card or paypal.

That is the email I had been communicating with. Kind of wishing I would have just held onto the stock wheel at this point. They offered me $250 for the core and it ended up costing me $60 to ship it to Australia. Regretting that decision at this point..

Haha mine is way too old to even worry. For those that has older 08 and 09 steering wheel would be worth it for the core exchange. I think this week is Chinese New Year so he may be busy. The seller has a Chinese name.

I would want to keep my OEM wheel so I could put it back on and sell the aftermarket wheel for 4-500 when I am ready to sell the car
