Was the ECU test run on stock ISF or on one with IHE? Seems to me we get up to 400whp with IHE and a 10%+ gain on that would be well worth the investment considering how much we all spend on anything else. Hell, I've got $3k worth of coilovers in my office acting as a paper weight right now. At least I could install this quickly and enjoy results! Subscribed for the updates!!

OP, after you reflash, put it on a dyno.

will do
the ecus getting sent back to japan to get retuned again
i suspect this is due to the difference in Fuel octane in Japan and Australia
try to lean it out more

I've read every thread on ECU tunes over the last 3-4 years, truthfully it's hard not to be excited but it seems that until we start getting people in the US that are using, showing dyno results it still seems so far away. I think it will eventually happen but it might be another year or more based on based on the progress thus far.

I hope it doesn't take that long, but if it does it would still be welcome to see an aftermarket tuned ECU solution with supporting mode available for the F! I hope Novel gets the tune sorted out and puts out a price for the U.S. customers.

^^^^^^

100% agree, I'm a new isf owner so I haven't done any mods yet. Getting a PPE Dual mode exhaust next week and then probably summer I'll get PPE Headers. So technically I'm not chomping on the bit yet but depending on the gains for US cars I suppose I might jump on a tune before headers if it really adds that much.

Are you guys for real?? 2K for a one size fits all ECU Reflash which cant take advantage of different Engines and supporting mods??? Thats an ECU being returned to be reflashed because no live tuning was performed on the car it was intended for, so what makes you think it will work on your car?? or will you have to return your ecu to japan for blind errrr ummm - retuning??

The Whole point of reflashing an ECU is to access/modify/rewrite mapping parameters that can be adjusted to suit the engine and setup they are intended to run.

The IS-F ecu can be reflashed - its done by your dealer every time a bug or problem needed rectified on the ISF, using Techstream. on the ecu front These files re called ECM 'calibrations', that file is in essence the complete image containing the data you want to be able to manipulate. The Calibration is not a fix or update of certain data, its a Complete data set containing any changes the were made. over the existing one.

Find a way of figuring the makeup, structure and content of that file, and a way of manipulating it, then your on the road to true reflashing capability.
