I'm about to trade in my beloved sc430 and get an ISF. I have several 2008 models nearby and a 2010. there's about a $7k price difference between the 2010 and the 2008. my question is: is there any difference between the 2008 and the 2010 models besides the LSD differential? and what was the first year LSD on the ISF? im just trying to do some research before I drop some serious coin into my next Lexus.

 

First year ISF with LSD is 2010.

you get the LSD and you also dont have to worry about your water pump leaking ( pretty common issue with 08-09). The wheels are also different. Goes from the blades to the mesh design.

 

-lsd
-updated "flower" wheels
-black headunit + black trim (as opposed to gray in the 08)
-blue bottomed steering wheel
-updated dome light assembly

That's all I can think of...

Get an '08 and throw in an os giken diff. You'll like it more than a '10 with a Torsen diff.

 

Thanks for the responses. I do believe I will go with the 08 model. Can you guys tell me what to look for when buying an 08 isf? I know about the engine tick. Anything else?

 

Leaky water pump is the only other thing I can think to look for with an 08-09.

 

2010 gets the updated stereo, USB and Bluetooth streaming audio, higher resolution screen. It's the new Lexus Enform interface as well.
