Picking her up tomorrow - 2010 IS F Red / black
Greetings! This is my 4th Lexus; started in 2002 with a 98 GS 300, then a LS430, then a RX330 for the wife.
I sold a Nissan 300zx twin turbo with low miles and heavily modded (about 470 HP) + the 04 LS430 and some cash to get the IS F.
Don't laugh, but I didn't know the IS F existed until last week. I was looking for a 460 or 600LH hybrid, when someone told me to go test drive the IS F. I had also tried out many BMW cars (M3, 335i) and Mercedes. At the end of the day, the IS F replaced the sporty side of the 300zx TT and the luxury side of the LS430. Sure it rides a tad rougher and in certain situations not pull as hard as the Z in cold weather @ 17 PSI boost, but it's a good blend of both.
Anyway I picked one up from a non-Lexus dealer for $36,500 - 2010 with 55k miles.
I always try to be completely stone faced when buying or selling cars - it was really tough acting unimpressed during the test drive to not tip my hand to the salesman. What a fun little car.
I will search, obviously, but if anyone has any "must do right away" upgrades let me know.

I always try to buy red. But yes, clean carfax; never been hit and serviced at a Lexus dealer. 2 previous owners; 1st was a lease I think.
Should there be any remaining powertrain warranty left on this car? If it came with 5 year 60k I should have about 5k left right? In service date was 11/2009.
Or maybe these were 4 year / 48000?
*Edit* Found it myself. The bumper to bumper was 4 year/50k, and the drivetrain is 6 year / 70k. So I have about 1.5 years or 15k miles.

You guys see anything on the Carfax that makes you nervous? I only have a $500 deposit on it, so it's not too late, absolutely speaking...

Looks awesome, red was one of my colors I opted for during my search previous months back & landed a one owner clean carfax 2009 white with 16k for $40k at a Ford dealer in GA. Alot of cars out there I had seen had a bad carfax w 2-3 owners at least other wise larger $$ would have been spent on a later MY & $40k was my limit.

Yes, welcome to the F family! You're certainly going to love it the more you drive it. Available power mods include intake, exhaust, and headers, while the rest comprise of aerodynamics/aesthetics and lighting. Enjoy her to the fullest!
